LIFE IS A PUZZLE
Have you ever wondered what life is really all about or just what the point of YOUR life is? Many people do and regretfully come up with inadequate answers. The modern world is full of people who have no purpose and drift into a state of hopelessness and despair. It might surprise you to know this happen even to believers. They fail to find a satisfactory answer because they look for it in their own understanding and in the world around them. No one will find a reason for their life in those places.
So what is life all about? Life is like a puzzle. The pieces are people, experiences and situations the we encounter. The puzzle Maker is God Himself. He is the creator of all things and nothing happens with out His permission. Our puzzle, our life is in existence to bring Him pleasure and glory. "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:" Colossians 1:16. "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Revelation 4:11 This is the reason you and I are in this world and have been given life--twice: physically and spiritually. We are not here to have a good time, to make a name for ourselves or to do some great service for mankind. We are here solely for Him.
Let's consider the life of a believer. The Lord gave us a promise that all things work together for good to those who love Him. We can therefore conclude that everything that happens to us, and I do mean everything, is for a purpose. That purpose is for our spiritual well-being and to conform us to His image. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." Romans 8:28-29
Although many times circumstances come into our life that are totally unexpected, they never are a surprise to our Lord. You see, the Shepherd always goes before the sheep and not only prepares the way for them but also knows all the dangers. There are no surprises to Jesus because He knows the beginning from the end and He is always in the present. He is not in the past and then overtaken by the future! We do not come into a difficulty or crises, cry out to our Lord and then have to wait until He comes up with some way to help us. He knows it all from the beginning!
You will only begin to enjoy life and look forward to what God has in store, when you know and accept the reason for your existence. We as believers have such a wonderful opportunity to be empowered with the Holy Spirit and used as vessels of righteousness for our heavenly Father's glory!
It is imperative that we as believers understand that in fulfilling His purpose and in bringing Him pleasure we will receiver blessings and enjoy peace that passeth all understanding. What greater purpose for life could there be?
Has God done something unusual in your life lately? I would love to hear about it. Please take time to write and share with us on our guest book.
THOUGHT TO PONDER:Do you know in your heart why you are alive? Are you enjoying it?
